This publication is one of the catalogues accompanying Sharjah Biennial 16: to carry (6 February–15 June 2026), each dedicated to the Biennial's curatorial propositions. Edited by Alia Swastika, this volume expands on Rossestrata, a curatorial framework named after the Rosetta Stone that explores how feminist perspectives and nonlinear readings of bodies and texts can reshape curatorial and educational practices.

Alongside documentation of the artworks and exhibitions, the catalogue brings together newly commissioned essays and conversations alongside reflections that reflect the Biennial's wider ecosystem of research and collaboration. It also documents workshops, performances, field studies and other evolving initiatives that unfolded during the exhibition, highlighting the many ways in which Rossestrata extends beyond the exhibition itself.

The catalogue includes a foreword by Hoor Al Qasimi; a curatorial essay by Alia Swastika; artists' notes by Dicky Senda, Suvi Wahyudianto and Ugoran Prasad; field notes by Avni Sethi, Bruno Ruiz Nava, Khalid Mohammed, May Adadol Ingawanij, Mega Nur, RRD and Sarah Al Mheiri; and reflections about the Biennial from Jo-Lene Ong, Swastika and Jiwon Lee.
